Update Prompts Additional Step in Setting up Dexcom Account for some New Customers

September 2021

Following an update to the Dexcom account creation interface from 9th of September 2021, selected new Dexcom G5 Mobile customers may need to complete an additional step when creating their Dexcom account. This update will not affect existing Dexcom G5 Mobile customers. For further information, please refer to this document.

The update introduces several key benefits for individuals using Dexcom G5 Mobile such as an updated and modern design, improved ease of use, new optional diabetes-related questions to let Dexcom know how you manage your diabetes as well as compatibility with Dexcom CLARITY. For individuals using Dexcom G6, following this update, they will also be able to log into their Dexcom account using their email address.

For any customers experiencing an issue creating their account or logging in due to the 20-character limit, we recommend logging in with a username (as it has less than 20 characters), rather than an email address. To generate a username, individuals should create a dependent account.

Instructions to set up a dependent account can be found here. Alternatively, please talk to your healthcare professional for assistance.
