AMSL Diabetes to sponsor DANII Foundation

October 2021

AMSL Diabetes are thrilled to announce a sponsoring partnership with the DANII Foundation.

The DANII Foundation passionately advocates for all individuals living with type 1 diabetes, a condition close to their heart, as their goal is to see a world where people living with type 1 diabetes can have access to life-changing technology. By educating the wider public on the realities of living with type 1 diabetes, the DANII Foundation is raising awareness surrounding the gravity of type 1 diabetes.

Furthermore, they also provide Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) sponsorships for individuals living with type 1 diabetes, who do not currently fit the eligibility criteria outlined in the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS) CGM Subsidy Initiative. DANII Foundation also support families affected by type 1 diabetes through various educational resources and community events.

AMSL Diabetes is proud to work together with the DANII Foundation towards empowering individuals living with type 1 diabetes, all while strengthening the connections and support networks within the Australian type 1 diabetes community.

Additionally, by highlighting the lives of individuals living with type 1 diabetes via the AMSL Diabetes All-Star Program, we are dedicated to recognising, supporting, and promoting individuals living with type 1 diabetes, to ensure real-life experiences are conveyed and celebrated.

AMSL Diabetes is the Australian distributor of the Dexcom CGM systems, t:slim X2 insulin pumps, OneTouch Blood Glucose meters and other diabetes devices and accessories. For more information on AMSL Diabetes, please visit amsldiabetes.com.au

About DANII Foundation

Established in 2012 by parents, Donna and Brian Meads-Barlow, the DANII Foundation was set up as a legacy to their 17-year-old daughter, Daniella, following her sudden passing as a result of a night-time hypoglycaemic episode. To this day, the DANII Foundation continues to campaign for those living with type 1 diabetes, to make remote alert technology like CGM, more affordable – and as a result, reduce unnecessary complications and complex morbidity associated with poorly managed type 1 diabetes.
