6th Annual Sports & Exercise Weekend 2019
For People with Type 1 Diabetes (18+) – Consumer only event
The AMSL Diabetes’ Sport & Exercise Weekend returns to AIS in Canberra for its 6th consecutive year in 2019! This weekend will run from the 3rd of May to the 5th of May, covering topics such as:
– Exercise and its impact on glucose levels
– Different types of exercise and the flow-on effect to one’s diabetes management
– Changes to insulin needs during and immediately after exercise
– Diabetes and its effect on fitness and well-being
We aim to bring together people living with type 1 diabetes with an interest in exercise as well as health and well-being. We are proud to host some of Australia’s leading specialists in the field of diabetes and exercise – sharing their expertise about sport, exercise and type 1 diabetes. Also, be inspired by others living with type 1 diabetes, as they share their real-world experience with type 1 diabetes and accomplishing incredible tasks such as completing numerous ultra-marathons.
AMSL Diabetes will shortly release details on how to register for this event. To stay updated, RSVP “interested” on this event page. Additionally, for more information, please contact email@example.com.
