Dexcom G5 Mobile manufactured by Dexcom – Supply Update

As of Friday 29th July 2022, AMSL Diabetes will discontinue the sale of Transmitters and Sensors for the Dexcom G5 Mobile Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) system.

In addition to removing Dexcom G5 Mobile from the NDSS CGM Subsidy Initiative on 1 March 2022, Dexcom G5 Mobile will no longer be available for private purchase via the AMSL Diabetes online shop from Friday 29th July.

The last day AMSL Diabetes will be able to supply you with a replacement Dexcom G5 CGM is Wednesday 3rd August, 2022. To avoid potential disruptions to your diabetes management, we encourage all current Dexcom G5 Mobile users to make the switch to Dexcom G6 CGM as soon as they are able to.

The recent CGM Subsidy expansion has meant that all Australians living with type 1 diabetes will be able to access CGM technology like Dexcom G6 at a subsidised rate of only $32.10 per month. This cost covers on-going supply of Dexcom G6 Transmitters, Sensors and 24/7 technical support. To learn more about Dexcom G6 as option for your diabetes management, please visit Why Pick G6.

If you would like more information on accessing subsidised Dexcom G6 CGM via the NDSS CGM Subsidy, please visit product.amsl.com.au/cgmsubsidy. Alternatively, if you would like to discuss this announcement with an AMSL Diabetes team member, please feel free to contact us at diabetes@amsl.com.au.
