Features

Comparing Glucose Data, Made Simple

With CLARITY’s compare feature, Dexcom users can evaluate glucose improvement over time. Identify problem areas with the comprehensive data tool and evaluate if diabetes management solutions are working.

Easily Identify Patterns that Matter

Dexcom CLARITY’s overlay report compiles each day of glucose trend data into a weekly overview. The Overlay report puts into context the frequency, duration and intensity of patterns of hypoglycaemia and hyperglycaemia. This gives users the ability to prioritise problems and find quick solutions.

Dexcom CLARITY offers immediate insight to patterns and potential management solutions to discuss with the user’s healthcare professional team.

CLARITY is here to make Data Simple:

  • Because of its web-based platform, users have access to glucose data, anywhere, anytime
  • Print, email and download PDF reports in minutes
  • Send and review glucose data before an appointment with a healthcare professional to save time

Go to Dexcom CLARITY and log in with your existing Dexcom G5 Mobile username and password or create a new log in if you are using the Dexcom G4 PLATINUM.

How it works

Introducing the Dexcom CLARITY whereby Dexcom users can upload glucose data from a Dexcom CGM device and then view the data in easy-to-read graphs. Dexcom users can view trends, statistics and day-by-day data and then email them directly to their healthcare professionals – right from the Dexcom CLARITY webpage. Dexcom users will have quick access to important insights that help in the assessment of health: highs, lows, daytime, nighttime and best day. Additionally, CLARITY will calculate an estimated A1C*, average glucose reading, risk for hypoglycaemia and more.

Go to Dexcom CLARITY and log in with your existing Dexcom G5 Mobile app username and password or create a new log in if you are using the Dexcom G4 PLATINUM.

*Estimated A1C is only an estimate and does not replace the HbA1c test conducted by your healthcare professional. Dexcom CLARITY needs at least 12 days of sensor use with 80% or greater wear time to provide an estimated A1C. If “N/A” is displayed here, there is not enough data to estimate A1C.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get CLARITY?

Go to https://clarity.dexcom.eu from an internet browser with internet connection. Review CLARITY’s list of computer and internet requirements if needed.

Can I access Dexcom CLARITY on a Mac or PC?

Dexcom CLARITY is a web-based program that is available on both Mac and PC platforms. An internet connection is required to access the program.

Is Dexcom CLARITY compatible with both Dexcom G4 PLATINUM and Dexcom G5 Mobile platforms?

Yes.

Do I need a Dexcom account to access Dexcom CLARITY?

Yes. If you currently use the Dexcom G5 Mobile Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System and have downloaded the Dexcom G5 Mobile app, then you have already created a Dexcom account and should use this to log in to CLARITY – please do not create a new
one. Your username and password can also be used with the Dexcom CLARITY Uploader tool. If you currently use a Dexcom receiver, you may already have a Dexcom account from ordering or using Share and should use this to log in to CLARITY. If you are having trouble logging in with your login credentials, you can reset your username and/or password.

How do I get started and begin accessing my data with CLARITY?

The Dexcom G5 Mobile CGM System works with Dexcom CLARITY, Dexcom’s latest Cloud- based diabetes management system. Start viewing your reports by logging into the CLARITY software from your desktop computer using a compatible platform. Your healthcare professional will email or print out an invitation that will instruct you on how to share your CGM data with them. This can be done through mail/email before or during your office visit. For more information contact your healthcare professional or AMSL Diabetes.

Can I use both a receiver and smart device with Dexcom CLARITY?

It is possible to use both a smart device and a receiver to provide CGM data. The smart device system streams data to the CLARITY server, where that data is made available for reports after three hours. The Dexcom receiver requires connection to a computer to upload the data periodically. If the patient uses a smart device part of the time and a receiver part of the time, then CLARITY needs data from both to provide accurate statistics.

Do I have to send data to Dexcom CLARITY?

Using Cloud-based technology, Dexcom CLARITY automatically takes glucose data from the Dexcom G5 Mobile CGM System and combines it with events such as exercise and meals that are entered via your G5 Mobile app or receiver. Although data is automatically sent to Dexcom CLARITY, you have the ability to view data once logged into the system. For patients using a Dexcom Receiver, data is uploaded to the clinic each time the patient connects their Receiver to their computer. For patients using a compatible smart device, data is displayed automatically except for the most recent 3 hours.

How does my data flow from my smart device to CLARITY?

Dexcom CLARITY receives streamed glucose data from your Dexcom G5 Mobile CGM System 3 hours after the data is recorded. This means that the most recent streamed data you view in Dexcom CLARITY is at least 3 hours old.

How can I share my data using a Dexcom Receiver?

If you upload your receiver to the CLARITY home user account, you can share your home user account data with your healthcare professional. Your clinic will need to give you a sharing invitation via email or printed invitation to initiate sharing. Alternatively, you can share your data with a healthcare professional by having your clinic upload your Dexcom CGM receiver using the CGM accessory cable directly to Dexcom CLARITY for healthcare professionals.

How can I share information with my doctor or diabetes educator?

Clinics can easily send email invitations to patients. All you have to do is accept the email invitation by entering the code provided in the invite from your physician or clinic. Then you will be linked to your physician’s office. You can share data automatically via the cloud
if you are using your phone and the Dexcom G5 Mobile app, or by connecting your receiver to your computer or the clinic computer.

I logged into CLARITY for the first time, why is there no data in there?

If you currently use the Dexcom G5 Mobile Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System and have downloaded the Dexcom G5 Mobile app, then you have already created a Dexcom account and should use this to log in to CLARITY. If you forgot your login information, please visit https:uam2.dexcom.com/index.html#forgotInfo.

What are the computer and software requirements for Dexcom CLARITY?

Computer and Internet requirements can be viewed at www.dexcom.com/clarity-requirements

Will events entered into my CGM receiver show up in Dexcom CLARITY?

Any event that is entered into your CGM will show up on Dexcom CLARITY graphs when your data is updated from your Dexcom G5 Mobile CGM System or you upload your receiver to CLARITY. For example, if “exercise” is entered at 17:00 on 5 June, it will show
up on all graphs that include 5 June, after data is updated from the Cloud (about 3 hours after event is entered) or after you upload the receiver for that time period.

How do I customise target glucose ranges?

There are two ways to customise target glucose ranges from the Settings page:

  • Select one of the gray circle icons on the interactive graphic and drag it up or down
to the desired glucose level. This action will drag a horizontal line with the circle
icon and set that glucose level as a border for the target range.
    Or:
  • Find the drop-down lists below the interactive graphic and select upper and lower
limits for the glucose target range.

Please note, changing glucose range settings in CLARITY will not affect the settings in your Dexcom CGM.

What other reports can I see on Dexcom CLARITY?
